Kidney Disease can be the result of a poorly managed chronic condition that includes hypertension or diabetes. This is different than an Acute Kidney Injury which is an episodic event based on an underlying cause. People with CKD are more prone to AKI.
In This sticky note I cover the basic differences between AKI and CKD, though acute can have 3 different areas Pre-Intra or Post this is a general overview part of my Stickenote collection book.
